Circuit is a battery powered precision analog microcontroller circuit with an integrated RF ISM-band transceiver used to transmit wind speed and wind direction from a passive anemometer. In the application shown, the on-chip 12-bit analog to-digital converter (ADC) and the wake-up timers are used to acquire the wind direction and speed, respectively. The low power hibernate mode is used to conserve power, which is important in wireless remote sensing applications.
